- Ski resort Janovka in Zuberec Village
It is located directly in Zuberec, the slopes are of easy and medium difficulty, skiers are transported by 4 lifts with a total transport capacity of 2500 persons/hour, including children's lifts. The slopes are illuminated with the possibility of night skiing. The total length of the ski slopes is 5.3 km with an elevation of 200 m. The resort includes a ski and snowboard rental, ski service, children's ski school, buffet with refreshments. The ski area offers wonderful views of the Roháče Mountains and the Zuberec Village. For fans of cross-country skiing, there are 8 km of groomed cross-country trails around the resort.
- Ski center Roháče Spálená
It is located in a high mountain environment, it is 8 km from the village of Zuberec, the slopes are suitable for beginner skiers, families and also demanding skiers. The centre has an express 6-seater, 4-seater and three ski lifts. The length of the slopes is 5.7 km. There is a ski rental and service, self-service restaurant and two buffets with outdoor terraces, moreover, ski and snowboarding schools.
For demanding fans of adrenaline sports, ski alpinists and snowboarders, there is a ski alpinist free zone directly above the area of the ski centre in the pristine natural scenery of the Salatín Valley and its adjacent steep slopes and a newly built snow park.
For fans of cross-country skiing, two cross-country circuits with a length of 11.3 km are available.
- SKI VITANOVA Vrchdolinky Ski resort
A ski resort with a chair, a beautiful view of the Tatras, great skiing on excellent snowy tracks. Hot snacks right in the centre. Pleasant environment for children and adults. The possibility of using the ski and snowboard school and kindergarten, ski service, ski and snowboard rental, the total length of the downhill tracks is 4.1 km, the elevation is 243 m, the total transport capacity is 3600 persons/hour.
- Ski resort Meander Skipark Oravice
Ski Oravice is one of the few ski resorts in Central Europe with a ski-in ski-out thermal water park. A children's park with a short ski lift and a ski school are available for beginner skiers. In the ski area there are two restaurants offering traditional Slovak and Polish dishes and a buffet directly on the slope.
In addition to regular time and point ski passes, family variants are offered as well as a combined all-day ski pass + aqua pass with all-day admission to the water park. From the top of the slope there are excellent views of the Western Tatras and Skorušinské vrchy Hills. As a rule, one travels from the slope to the seven swimming pools of Aquapark Oravice in the immediate vicinity.
- Ski resort Nižná - Uhliská
Ski lift with artificial snow 1,250 m long, total length of slopes 4 km, new access roads from Nižná Vand Podbiel Villages, buffets with refreshments in the valley and summit stations.

Lovers of ski mountaineering and extreme sports can use Saľatínska and Spálená dolina Valleys for ski mountaineering tours and downhill runs. Roháče Mountains are available for ski mountaineering from December 21 to April 15. Ski mountaineering routes from Zuberec Village to Machy Village with a length of 11.3 km
- Sledging
Sledging enthusiasts, especially children, can enjoy exciting rides on sleds, bobsleighs, and gliders into the valley. It is possible to go sledding directly in the area of our guesthouse, in the vicinity of the ski lifts, under suitable conditions along the route from the former Ťatliak Cottage.
- Nordic walking
Try this sport in all four seasons, while relaxing your muscles, reducing stress and excess calories. The reward will be improved blood circulation, breathing, mood and proper posture. Experienced instructors will help you with this in the beautiful environment of our mountains.
- Snow boots
A lesser-known winter activity is snowshoeing. You can also walk with them on vast meadows and fields with a fairly thick layer of snow, where there are no restrictions in the form of swept roads and well-worn paths. On snowshoes you can enjoy beautiful views of the valleys in complete solitude. "

“I love this place. We visited this place for the third time and we are coming back for sure. We booked whole penzion Skerda as we were 25 people. I celebrated my birthday there and it was the best choice for us. The place have many rooms, every room has its own small kitchen and bathroom. Some of the rooms are double-rooms or apartments – so two rooms + kitchen + bathroom. The place is very clean, nice-furnished. THere is also one additional room – living room with fireplace, bigger kitchen and tables and chairs for whole building, so we could all be together. Near to the building is another building with grill. It is situated in the heart of Zuberec, you can park in front of the building without any problems. The owners are really nice and friendly. Nothing bad to say. We will come back soon !“

There are many natural attractions in the area, with fabulous hiking opportunities everywhere. The owners are kind and helpful. We had been here for the first time, but definitely return to discover the beauties of the landscape from here and spend a few pleasant days here in the tranquility of the mountains.

Facebook.com"The cosy rooms of this beautifully furnished, clean and fragrant guesthouse will make you feel like at home 💛 The large terrace with seating and sun loungers is great, the spacious lounge with fireplace and games room awesome, but the absolute best is the outdoor area with a large gazebo with several barbecues and indoor and also outdoor seating by the stream. That's for us adults. For the kids, there's a playground and a large grassy area to run around. Easy parking. Lovely hosts who can help with everything. Anywhere you can get within walking distance, restaurants, candy stores, hiking, all close by yet quiet and private. Great place 😁"
